The nursery is available for children from birth to 4 years, from 8:00 a.m.—12 Noon on Sunday mornings. Preschool children have a Sunday School lesson at 9:30 a.m.
We believe every baby can experience God’s tender love through the nursery ministry. Parents can have the comfort and confidence of knowing that loving and trustworthy, trained caregivers and volunteers are watching their precious gift from God. Risen Savior Lutheran Church wants to make the nursery a safe and comfortable environment for your children. The nursery provides a nurturing environment where love and care are freely given and security is of utmost importance. This environment helps lay the early foundation for these children to know the Lord Jesus and His love for us.
For the safety of your child, Risen Savior follows the policies below:
Location: The Nursery is located in Wing 1 Room 101. It is designed and equipped to minister to children from birth to 4 years of age.
Classroom Ratio: There will be a minimum of two staff members in the nursery at all times except in the event of an emergency situation.
Record Keeping: Please sign your child into the nursery. After you sign in, you will receive a pager. The Nursery has a 10 minute cry rule: if your child is crying for more than 10 minutes you will be paged.
Medications: Medications will not be administered. If a child needs medication, the parents must give it. No medication will be left in the nursery or with a worker or child. There is a First Aid box located in the nursery for general use.
Sickness: A child who has severe cold symptoms, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or inflamed mouth and/or throat, or anything considered contagious to other children or staff, cannot be admitted to the nursery.
What To Bring: Please bring a diaper change for your child. Please have all your child’s belongings labeled. This includes Diaper bag, Bottles, Pacifiers, Drinking cups, clothing, blankets. Do not bring solid food or personal toys into the nursery.
Other Procedures: Pickup your child immediately after service concludes. Please make Nursery Workers aware of all allergies you child may have. Nursing moms are welcome to use the nursery to feed their babies.
Nursery Workers: The Nursery Workers have completed the Child Protection Training and a background check. They look forward to meeting you and working with your children. You are invited to stop by the nursery to meet them at anytime.
