Becky Arendt

Becky Arendt, a soprano, is pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in vocal performance and pedagogy at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She received a Bachelor’s of Music from Stetson University in DeLand, FL and a Master’s of Music from the University of ColoradoBoulder, where she was a recipient of the Anderson Voice Scholarship, in May of 2006. In 2007, Becky studied voice at the Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk, Poland where she conducted research on Polish vocal literature.

Becky performs operatic and art song repertoire along with musical theatre and jazz. She has performed the roles of Iris in G.F. Handel’s Semele, Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and Lauretta in Pucinni’s Gianni Schicchi. She was also a featured soloist at the Schlern International Music Festival in Voels am Schlern, Italy in July of 2005.

Becky is a Graduate Part-time Instructor of voice at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She also is an instructor at the University of Colorado at Denver where she teaches voice lessons and general music classes through their Music and Entertainment Industries Department.

Becky is the director of the Chancel Choir at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield, CO where she and her family are members. She is married to her best friend, Marcin Arendt, Risen Savior’s Director of Music Ministries, and they have a beautiful little girl named Daphne.
